Now is the "mu" variant.

The dance goes on and on and on. And people naively thought just a shot(s) will fix it. No, you're on the hook for jabs infinitum. Sad.

Default Aussies Tracking App

https://www.louderwithcrowder.com/au...lantic-article

People in South Australia will be forced to download an app that combines facial recognition and geolocation. The state will text them at random times, and thereafter they will have 15 minutes to take a picture of their face in the location where they are supposed to be. Should they fail, the local police department will be sent to follow up in person

The thing is this technology is great and would probably work in most places. The problem is no one in their right mind would trust public health, government or big tech enough to comply. I'd never willingly use these technologies even though there is a good chance they would work. Even if Apple, who has been traditionally good on privacy issues, claims they aren't collected data in their little Covid app I don't trust them and don't trust the government to get a hold of this data and use it in a manner that I did not approve of.

If you think Apple is good on privacy issues, read Snowden’s take….

Big tech will sell your grandmother to the Mexican Cartels if they can make a buck.
They worship at the alter of the Chinese Yen.

Don’t be fooled.

No, I understand. Traditionally they have been better than other companies but this latest move is really making me reevaluate Apple devices.

Looks like the Netherlands are closing up to Americans again by reinstating quarantine requirements. Luckily ot doesn't seem like other EU countries are following suit despite EU recommendations. I can't help but think it's partially politically driven. Until we wake up and open our borders back to European travelers you can't even get mad if they reciprocate. I'm shocked this hasn't happened yet

NZ is giving up on their "zero covid" policy, WSJ reports...

"Ms. Ardern said the government is aiming to “actively control the virus,” a contrast to earlier rhetoric of stamping it out. About 40% of New Zealand’s overall population has been fully vaccinated, but the rate is higher in Auckland, according to the country’s Ministry of Health."
