This. Very reasonable.

Pro-choice but pro consequences. Imagine that argument for abortion. Your choice, but have fun at your murder trial.

True… but who covers the open flying? From a company standpoint I’m guessing this extra burden to fill the hole is “unreasonable”…

And an extra burden on fellow employees.

And that could likely lead to a more senior pilot being reassigned to do undesirable (for them) flying at an increase cost to the company to comply with a reassignment. This not only adds more than a "de minimus" cost to United but it is a violation of our UPA in terms of seniority rights. Any reasonable accommodation must not cost the company more money to implement nor can it violate the rights of the other unionized employees within a work group.

How so? It seems like the fleets affected by the restricted destinations are flush with reserves at the moment and under the terminated LOA, the affected pilots were removed from their trips two weeks prior. What you mention didn’t happen. Not that it couldn’t, but that would take all of the flying returning to global fleets.

Oh please. Spare us your theatrics. After years of bankruptcies, mergers, 9-11, concessionary contracts, and the actual disaster COVID made of our careers the last two years, your whiny, hysterical "mantra" and your perceived injuries won't even amount to a speed bump in the rear-view mirror.

Exactly! Could you imagine trying to organize and fight a real problem with these clowns?

In a word it would be… impossible! Each and every one of these freedom loving personal choice jokers would throw each and every one of us under the bus for a few extra bucks or a chance to have their proverbial cake and eat it to. This is the closest that I hope I ever see to a truly global crisis and while the entirety of the world is moving in one direction these forum doctors/lawyers/research-fellows have the key to solving this crisis that not shockingly involves doing everything they want to do and sacrificing nothing. It’s that often misinterpreted religious tenet of be selfish and do whatever you want to do even if it harms your neighbor.

Glad to see we’re at 99%, also glad that those in the 1% without a real medical or religious exemption are about to find out that decisions have consequences! Buh-bye sorry not sorry!

How can the accomodation be unreasonable when AA doesn't even require the vax?
