Sorry, I didn’t realize it was a joke.

Who knows, brother. We’ll find out soon, then find out again
Id assume no new bases for at least 2 years, but it could turn on a dime, if there is a cash saving angle on such decision.

Not disagreeing. And not saying that the 220 CAN’T fly those routes. The 220 does better than other aircraft (cost wise) on all sorts of routes. But when you can go coast to coast on a 220 for less gas per passenger than any other aircraft in the fleet, do you really want it going ATL-BHM?

“Without the 717”...that’s my point. No credible info has come out saying we are getting rid of them. It’s an APC rumor.

As of now, the company will have 35 less RJs, because of the compass flowback provision.

Yep. “As of now”. Keep an eye on the ball as it bounces.

What "bounce" are you referring to?

I really don't see any scope relief on our part. Those 35 big RJ's are gone. Poof. The only way to bring them back it to find or create a top down flow, effective immediately, for 500ish pilots. They certainly could do that in a numbe of ways, but I wouldn't call that scope relief, and I doubt they'll do it anyway. The only untapped 800+ regional AC order fantasy this time to add "to our armada" would be 37 seats and under props IIRC. If they want to move the world 37 ppl at a time then I guess they can do that. Otherwise they have to use our pilots.

You don’t think the company will ask for relief for those 35 big RJ’s? Little gun shy, after being furloughed for 5 plus years and seeing the explosion of the RJ’s. Not a fan of ALPA.

They'll probably just take 6 seats out of some of the 900's, and park the equivalent number of old 700's.
