Do you enter those bids in 10% increments under AE preferences, displacement preferences, or voluntary displacement preferences?

Thanks for your help!

Do you put in 80% if you and to be at least 20% from bottom of category? Have not put in a bid in a long time. Thanks.

Yes. 1% would be the top guy 99% would be the bottom. So I started with all planes at 10% (to be super senior) and worked my way down.

Changing the weight is a sticker and a logbook entry. Can be done in >15 minutes. The FAA does not care if the aircraft has a "certificate of convenience" at less than the jet's certified limits.

Delta used to do this occasionally on mainline jets too. The MD88 was operated at a lower weight to avoid taxes to the Port Authority up in New York for a while.

So we know #1 in the company is getting displaced from his 777 A. He will literally be the last person to train in a displacement. So, if he is >63 what are the chances he will ever go to training before retirement?

Posted this elsewhere, but I think that is the "early retirement" some have been looking for on a bid this large. There has to be a few "training bypass" people who can hold A350, of secondary displacements into another manufacturer's equipment (long school). As soon as their category closes they have no obligation to the company. "It has been nice flying with you. Enjoy retirement"

Looking to get bumped out of MSP and probably the 320, too. What might be the pros/cons of commuting from MSP to SLC vs NYC for 220?
