So I guess I’m agreeing with you.
Right, there is no guarantee we'll ever see the details of that proposal, although if it's killed by the MEC I'm sure details will be leaked by the union and the company. At this point even if they come to an agreement with the company on a TA this week there's still not enough time to run it through memrat before Oct 1 so the company would either have to delay all furloughs for a month like United did or still cut people and have to bring them back in a couple of weeks if it passes memrat.

the “big” deal is the one im interested in. I was just curious what the timeline was for us to see that proposal (if at all).

EDIT I see this was answered by tennis and ER flyer

All TAs should go to MEMRAT even if considered a slam dunk—it’s the default position. It can be overridden by 2/3rds (I think it’s the #) majority but should not be the norm. The voluntary proposal is a TA reached by the NC and will be presented to the MEC this week. If the majority of the MEC supports it, then it should go to memrat.

Who knows what else management is proposing, but I’m betting it contains concessions.

the voluntary LOA, yes. The other proposal probably not.

It’s voluntary. No need for memrat.

Exactly. If we didn’t MEMRAT the VEOP. We won’t MEMRAT this one either.

Directly from the Delta ALPA policy manual:

“All other amendments to the PWA (side letters of agreement) that have been recommended for approval by a majority vote of the MEC shall be subject to membership ratification.”

Doesn’t differentiate whether voluntary or not.

Quick, recall the VEOP pilots! Sorry Denny, you're never leaving!
