$25,000,000 additional salary for the House of Representatives (because they’ve worked so hard).

$25,000,000 for cleaning supplies in the Capital building.

The spending habits of our representatives as a whole is an absolute disgrace.

This bill should be 20 pages, yet it’s nearly 5,600 PAGES.
I wonder why that would be? Probably in hopes nobody decides to read it. The 25M for cleaning supplies was found on pg. 136 apparently.
If true that really is disgusting. For 25 mil I’d make the place spotless while still being able to take my super yacht to the French Riveria. Guess I’m in the wrong line of work

a working party of military E1s supervised by one E3 could do it for $17 with a can of WD40 and a tube sock.

So we’re the last 3 years of government funding, foreign aid is not new and it is not part of the COVID relief package. It IS part of the Omnibus government funding, the virtue of foreign aid could be a whole other discussion. It is being misrepresented by most media in my opinion.

You’re correct...it’s completely misrepresented and the fact that so many people are eating it up with zero individual research or critical thinking is insane.

Why should someone care if it is two bills wrapped in one? The money is still getting spent. If it sheds light on all the waste and pork then good, wrap them together so people wake up.

I don’t disagree that it is good that it is shedding light on it. I just don’t like the news headlines saying “look at all the foreign aid in the COVID bill”. It’s not good journalism.

so a better headline would be: “look at all the foreign aid in the bill attached to the COVID bill...and one cannot pass without the other”.

I get what’s being done. They couldn’t get this nonsense through on a normal bill so they ride it on this one. It’s unacceptable. Every bill usually has similar occurrences so it’s nothing new but it just highlights an issue. So political.
Approve our bill to cure cancer...plus funding for Squirrel mating research in Canada...if you vote no you’re evil and like cancer.
