on the ER, we have sim time outside of E/F periods available every day
This is great news! Our financial future is heavily dependent on getting butts in seats on both sides of the cockpit door. Is capacity available on the other fleets, especially 220,320 and 73N? Also, does LCA capacity match up with sim throughput?

I've seen some open sim slots in the 73N fleet sim schedule. I have heard the 320 OE is backed up, but not the 73N.

I know multiple people waiting 3+ months (so far) to get into 73 sim for special requal, so I’m gonna disagree with your 73 sim assessment.

I believe it's more an instructor shortage issue vs open Sim slots. Training department has been hit hard by COVID combined with staffing cuts to save money makes for a tough situation. Lots of instructors who normally don't work 200 or 100 series are assigned them or pick it up for premium pay

I predict we will be working our way out of a self-imposed training disaster for another 12-18 months. Upcoming AEs will get massaged beyond belief to award short courses and normal requals while avoiding IQ.

Please bring on the AEs though.
I was NQAT for exactly 2 days before they trained me. Doesn’t seem like they are overwhelmed in training.

I’ve been NQAT for 3 months, waiting to requal on the -400, which uses the ER sim for all but the last couple of 400 module events. I can’t even get CR or Training planners to respond to an email or phone call.

In addition to others posting here who have waited months, I have one buddy who only needs 3 sims to requal in the -400, and has been waiting 6 weeks so far. And another buddy who waited 3 months to requal on the ER. Not full course, requal. I’d say your experience is a (huge) outlier.
