Existing infrastructure. Many electric companies have off-peak charging plans, where they have a lower KW cost to charge in the evening and overnight. I have an off-peak plan, I set up my Model 3 to start charging at 10pm.
Before COVID, when I drove the kids to school, I had the car setup to start charging on its own, to be done by 8am to take the kids to school. (off peak doesn't end until 11am for this area). It knew the charging rate, how much charge was required and figured out when to start charging. Also, it would warm up the car so it was toasty and ready to go at 8am.

I am waiting for the Lucid Air. It has a stated range of 517 miles on a single charge with Motor Trend getting 490 on their first test. From my research, you can get 300 miles of range on a 20 minute charge. Here is Motor Trends first look. https://www.motortrend.com/cars/luci...ew-range-test/
They will have to just nail their build tolerances for the rear hatch to fit correctly. The design is very unforgiving of anything. Even a 1mm sized error would be really noticeable. I used to do collision repair and pant work. ... Mercedes currently could not build that design. We will have to see if Lucid can.

Anyone have a Tesla Solar Roof? Curious if they offer a discount on the solar roof if you own a Tesla car(s). I’ve read/seen a few reviews of people who’ve had them installed. The numbers (energy cost) were extremely good. Great looking product and installation looked pretty quick. Curious if anyone has one and if you have been able to calculate the break even point?

Saw this across from our layover hotel in West Palm. The Lucid Air has a better than Bently gorgeous interior and a lot of space. The 900v system makes for very compact drive motors.

I think that’s a sleek looking car, but that trunk is odd looking. Like a clam shell reverser. I’d be curious how usable it is. I.E. the opening is not very tall.

That got me thinking ... placard the left side with Hillary 2024 stickers and make the right side a Trump Truck. ... start a YouTube channel with the resulting Sentry Mode videos and retire....
