Elon observed that tasers are legal in all 50 states and that the solid stainless, unpainted, cyber truck could basically be a huge bug zapper to avoid fingerprints on the stainless.
That got me thinking ... placard the left side with Hillary 2024 stickers and make the right side a Trump Truck. ... start a YouTube channel with the resulting Sentry Mode videos and retire....

Existing infrastructure if utility companies incentivize off peak charging. Many utilities already give EV owners cheap power to charge in the middle of the night when demand is low. This reduces peak afternoon demand which is expensive to provide. Essentially everyone who already runs their 40-50 amp air conditioning in the afternoon can schedule their EV to charge at night on a 50 amp garage circuit.

The smartest thing all these manufacturers could do is get together with Musk and work out a deal to use the super chargers and pay a royalty per car. It is in the best interest of all the consumers and manufacturers to have plug commonality and not have each manufacturer having to bear the cost of a charging network. Musk gets the royalty plus the charging revenue to help smooth out revenues and fund more development.

I think people grossly overestimate what is actually going on with EV charging at home.
You can manually lower the amp draw if you want. You could also get a Tesla wall charger and have more control. Heck, you can get multiple wall chargers and they’ll automatically spread the charge load between cars.

We never even noticed a change in our electric bills when we added a I3 car. We pick up a Model Y tomorrow and it’s has about the same efficiency as the I3 so even though the battery is 3 times the size our usage should not change. 95% of your charging is topping off the battery after driving less than 30 miles.

White, wanted Red but would have been a wait and extra cash. Went with the performance. It actually was only 6000 more than the Long Range if you upgrade the wheels and get the performance boost. Hope the ride is not to harsh however.

Nice - if I was getting a Y to replace the minivan I'd get the white. I've got a red Model 3 right now. A Delta friend of mine who lives down the street is getting a red Y next week. And a good friend of mine is getting a dark grey 3 tomorrow. Getting popular - Enjoy yours, it's a great car!
