Delta may be many things, but they absolutely EXCEL in this area. Focus on your interview first and foremost. They will absolutely work with you in this case.

Guidance currently is you have 1 deferral from a class offering. Also have to start within 6 months of CJO.

My previous employer required 3 months notice and that was my available start date. This topic never came up in the interview.

When my background check was completed, I was offered a class date more than a month before my availability. I had to decline and asked for a class date a week later than my original availability due to needing more time to move house.

The Pilot Onboarding team is very courteous and accommodating. I’m sure that they will support you in any way they can.

All the best for your son and his recovery.

How does this work? Did they have a hire date of Oct and bid back then?

Yes. They've been on the seniority list accruing people behind them (and shortening their time on probation and first year pay) since Oct as a part of the hold back provision in the flow LOA.

Yeah, just curious as to what equipment they bid. Did they bid for what was available in the first Oct indoc class or some other offering/date?

For those interested this is the general breakdown for which plane went junior/senior in the 1/4 class:

-Most Senior-
A220 (Last awarded was 36% in class)
A320 (Last awarded was 60% in class)
73N (Last awarded was 76% in class)
717 (Last awarded was 84% in class)
7ER (Mostly evenly spread but a ton on the junior end)
-Most Junior-

Pardon my ignorance…to clarify how the percentages work:

When you say, for example, 84% on 717….this means that person was ranked 84% down the list for their Indoc class (low social)?

If so, A220 almost seems senior? Or, do I have this backwards?

Thanks.

What a world we live in where 7ER is the most junior assignment.

Are we ever going to award a new hire an ER base other than NYC or just keep putting everyone in NYC while the other 3 bases are running on no supply. Oh well I guess, I got 4 GS'S last month with Christmas off at 90% and I saw NYC folks getting OOBGS W/conflict. What a time....
