Yes there were… kinda. They posted no openings but 16 people bid out of SEA7ERB and only 9 people bid in. So I’d say there are 7 positions open to new hires.

not quite. Vacancies have to be published to be available for new hires. Un-back-filled (?) contingent vacancies don’t count

I didn’t think they bid separately, but they get their drops with the class they were going to be here with, and they already have something when they show up 90 days later.

As a new hire would you bid 320s and 737 over the 717? How’s trip quality ?

So are the spots being given the 1/25 class a PWA violation?

I saw post 1305, in October when the bid came out a DL pilot had put together a list of all the unbid positions and SEA7ERB was the only NB/ER position that had no unfilled positions according to that chart. I guess it was off

The category shrank so there were definitely unfilled secondary vacancies. It remains to be seen if offering those to newhires is PWA-compliant. Full disclosure, way too lazy to go digging for that right now.

I’m a west coast guy and would like SLC and the 320 eventually. Should I go for SLC220 or try for the 320 in one of the other bases (longer commute) and move to SLC/LAX later on?
