220 really is a good mix of all around comfort and stage length. You rarely have any days with more than 3 legs. After that probably the 7ER.

The Bus is "more comfortable" (its not the life changing experience some like to pretend it is though) but DL typically uses the 73 on longer legs. The line will likely shift a little more towards the Bus as NEO's arrive, but at the same time 900's are still coming. By the time all that gets settled there could be a MAX order who knows.

Based on the limited variables you presented, the 767-400 could be the sweet spot the soonest (not in NH class right now of course).
