Barring a leave of absence or a sick call or something like that, Starting day 1 of indoc, you are paid 2.5 hours per day for every day until OE completion, regardless of how you are utilized during that time.
So yes, you get paid the entire time even if waiting for training.

In the drop somewhere? Basically 100% chance. Also extremely high odds that the only base it will be offered is NYC.

Ive accepted my future is New York. If I’m going to commute for a bit, might as well fly a cool plane for a bit. Then after a year or two be senior enough to come home on a different plane.

Through multiple recent hires I know on different fleets. One to two AEs (so 2 months) to be awarded. Then you are looking at 2-3 months after that before you convert to Atlanta. So 4‐6 months (ish) from day one on property if you are a new hire. Then again, a large bid could come out and be faster. Best of luck and welcome!
