Good because I'm about ready to start refusing them. I can't find the memo that said how to write up screens that were too dim, but I've had a couple lately where I COULD NOT see the EWD on takeoff, another where I couldn't see the radar. I have flown 320s at another carrier, too, and we had no issue with screen dimness on 319s or 320s. Even the new airplanes I will bet $100 that the screens are deliberately dimmed for longevity; I've been in brand new 321s that the freaking screens are dim to the point of annoyance.

The 75 is going to wind down, but for a chunk, there is no replacement now or in development. Sure, a 32N or M10 can carry as many people as a 752 more economically. But neither can take a full load of pax AND a full load of cargo. So, on routes where there's money in cargo, but doesn't support a WB, there's no other choice. And then there's the 753, which is the Highlander of airplanes. It'll outlast the CFM56 here...every 739, every 321ceo will be parked before the 753. It's a slave ship, but its CASM is unmatched prior to LEAP/PW1000 engines.

the few times I do fly a 319/320 we have had to write up the screens. Couldn’t read the FMA or see anything on the radar during day ops. I’ve flown jets with CRT’s previously and they were not nearly this bad. Luckily it’s once in a blue moon I touch one. 99% of my legs are in a NEO.

I’d have to go back and research, but if General said the A319s were going away any time soon (as HK has said) he got that one wrong as well.
