All the SAQ flying can be done by A319s, which are about to be ‘refreshed’ to 321cockpits and radar.

319s are going the way of the doo doo bird. They won't be around long.

We'll have the Max 8 here soon. General and I have already told you all this.

so we’re spending all this money and effort to synchronize them with the 321’s and then gonna put them in the dessert? Sure we did that with the 777’s but that was an entirely different situation. The 319’s have plenty of years left in them.

You have no idea what you’re talking about. Delta is in the process of spending millions on the 319/320 refresh. The oldest 320’s will go away since the dash configuration is incompatible, other than that they will get the same screens as the 321 and the new multiscan radar.

Looks like ALL the 319s and about half the 320s will get “harmonized”. For source, look in Aerodocs, June 2025 A320 newsletter, page 12.

You must be relatively new here.

The surest sign we are retiring aircraft is a cabin mod and/or refresh

Yes, the MAX 8 Can do all our SAQs and it carries more than the 319 too

We did all our hiring for 2025 in Q1, seems like that is the plan again next year.
Where is this said memo?

Not trying to be a jerk, just an honest question.

Thanks

Go back and look at what myself and General Lee have posted about it.

MAX 8 will do the lions share of SAQ flying for us as the 75 and the 319 are retired. Which most all of the aforementioned will be out by ~2035 ish. The 319 probably earlier. The 75 carries more as does the MAX 8. It's simple economics
