New CJO here awaiting class dates. I’m curious if anyone out there has any insight as to how many people are in each new hire class, and how the airframes rack and stack in seniority order.
I found a few older posts on here regarding class size, but nothing super recent. As far as airframes go, my last four is low so I think I’ll be picking from whatever plane is last or at least toward the bottom. I known that a couple of the airframes are only available at a few bases, so I wasn’t sure if that typically factors in to how people bid. Any words of wisdom out there?

I hear this a lot.. some people even saying it’s been 10 years.
so- if that’s the case, so be it. But how are you possibly going to have any accuracy?? Even if the company can print you out a list of your flights… how will you possibly remember which legs you landed? How much was night? How much was instrument??

That is too many years of flying to log manually. The only option is getting an CSV file you can import or pay someone to enter your times. Be careful with the logbook programs out there. One of the main popular ones sold their sole to the devil of a VC firm. They have simple bugs now that never get fixed. Do your research.

Looking at the LA base, what’s the flying look like comparing the airbus to the 73 along with progression in seniority? At this time, I am torn between the two as I know new a320’s will be coming in which would be nice to fly but I hear 73 is the way to go for better trips.

You can hold Atlanta pretty much if not on your new hire bid by the first advanced entitlement bid. What this means is youll either be ATL based right out of the gate, or shortly after you complete OE in most cases.
Class drops have been pretty random base wise but limited to 717, 220, 320, 737, and 7ER fleet wise. Congrats and welcome to Delta!

765 is the 767-400.
NYC isn't just LGA. Its LGA, EWR and JFK.
7ER NYC will make that 95% JFK, 5% the other two, Narrowbodies are month to month but I'm personally running a 50/50 LGA-JFK split, but I bid avoid EWR.
Also mainline vs rj commute factors in. 9 mainline a day to atl and 3 RJ to nyc? I'd choose ATL.
14 RJs, 6 DL ticketed, to nyc and 3 757s to atl a day? Nyc

Classes start on Tuesday. It seems to be averaging about five weeks from clearance email to class date offer and about twelve weeks from interview to class start date. Supposedly, class sizes will increase in January so those timelines should condense.
