You can also ask on the Delta Air Lines Pilot Recruiting FB page.

Great advice! I'll try that.

I'm a relatively new Delta hire and have a similar background to you. I used milkeep (https://www.milkeep.com/) to digitize my records and then did an app review with Checked and Set (https://checkedandset.net/) to make sure the hours were filled out "correctly" for each airline I was applying to. It'll cost a little bit of money and there will still be some manual labor / auditing you need to do on your own, but it's a pretty good 90% solution and will save you a lot of pain. Good luck.

Thanks! I used Milkeep and Checked and Set as well. Great products and services--I just didn't address the lost general aviation logbook with them in the context of what to bring to an interview.

OBAP August Delta recruitment

Is Delta doing any recruitment event in Aug at the OBAP conference the facebook page has nothing on it.
Anyone that attended past events, what exactly happens in a meet and greet , was it helpful to your application process? I have a long way to travel to the event wondering if it is worth it...

This may be incorrect, but my understanding is when you add an internal rec, it triggers the scoring...is it better to get to as many conferences, etc. and get the resume as padded as possible before adding that rec? Or is it better to get that done earlier, and just keep updating?

Someone correct this info if it's become dated, but last I knew, the 'handshake' was DL Pilot Hiring would pull your app and score it within 30 days of an internal rec. Furthermore, they will only score your app once per year.

So, I would strongly recommend making your app as complete as possible before pulling the trigger on the internal rec.

Thanks, that's what I thought!

I have heard that it is taking 6+ months from CJO to class date. Does anyone know if that’s true? Looks like they have slowed down classes ( as expected during the summer) but the amount of people with CJO is increasing and is the wait significantly. Any insights?

If you go back just one page to post 5173, it seems someone posted that is about right.

I would expect that to shorten considerably as we get into the fall, and especially winter.

Add as much to your resume as you can, then get to a meet/greet ASAP. Don't try and time LORs. Just make your resume/app as solid as possible, and get face to face with someone.

This is coming from a friend who got the invite with under 2,000 TT and 5+ LORs. She said the invite came about 30 days after a meet/greet in 2024.

Sounds good! Is there anywhere to find meet/greets or Meet the Chiefs events other than the FB recruiting page and industry conferences (OBAP, etc)?

Again, someone correct me if this is dated, but for DL, I'm not aware of anything other than industry conferences (OBAP, WIA, NGPA, TPNx). And I believe they pulled out of TPNx recently (I think mostly due to the slowdown in summer hiring and the relatively large CJO pool). They don't do "meet the chiefs", afaik. Propel has had some extra events, but that's another animal.

I belive the FB recruiting page is the go-to source. Good Luck!
