Again, someone correct me if this is dated, but for DL, I'm not aware of anything other than industry conferences (OBAP, WIA, NGPA, TPNx). And I believe they pulled out of TPNx recently (I think mostly due to the slowdown in summer hiring and the relatively large CJO pool). They don't do "meet the chiefs", afaik. Propel has had some extra events, but that's another animal.

I belive the FB recruiting page is the go-to source. Good Luck!

Delta was at RTAG last year.

I have heard that it is taking 6+ months from CJO to class date. Does anyone know if that’s true? Looks like they have slowed down classes ( as expected during the summer) but the amount of people with CJO is increasing and is the wait significantly. Any insights?

Currently sitting at the 3-month point post-CJO and still waiting for a class date, that Delta Pilot On-Boarding said would be 6-weeks AFTER I recieve the email. So if i get the email tomorrow, then I would have been waiting over 4.5 months. Just hope to get into a class in Sep/Oct class or it will be a 9-month wait from CJO to class in Jan. To add to the misery of waiting, stop getting full pay from Uncle Sam 1 Sep. Anybody know the name of a good truck drvining school? I might need that.

No, but I know the name of the guy that would’ve allowed you to slide your retirement 30-60-90 to maximize that double pay till class started!

Has it been confirmed no Nov/Dec classes?

I just received a 10 September Indoc date. I got the CJO on March 27, so it took a little over 4 months.

Yes, but still interviewing for January and beyond classes. Just breaking for the holidays.

06 March CJO here still awaiting class date and didn't get 10 September invite. Mil background with 1600 TT, all turbine and 900 tpic. I've started at a different carrier since leaving active duty as well.

I realize my time is now less competitive as market changes, is there any risk or precedent of a CJO not conveying? Or might it just be a wait until winter '25 if I do not receive an october class date?

A CJO is a CJO. They are supposed do class dates in CJO order, with some exceptions (at least there used to be). Just because you have lower TT, it shouldn’t matter.

That's what I had thought but I'm not sure if things have changed. About 6 classes now have gone by taking mostly people
who interviewed late march/April. Some february folks had to wait until August.

Just curious if anyone had any insight on it.

I think you might be missing it somewhat IRT just how many military types had CJOs from 18-24 months ago with availability around now, and I’m assuming that’s probably a rolling fact. While you may have a seemingly distant CJO that should warrant you an approaching class, don’t forget Delta offered CJOs “years” ago as well that have or are just beginning to class up. I think you’ll hear something this year, stay positive. No way Winter of 2025 is even remotely accurate.
