Hi all,

quick q... Been back and forth with consultants as well as DL Pilots and the recruitment team. I have been unsuccesful finding a direct answer. In the type rating/certificate section there is an option for "turbo jet" "b737" or "large aircraft" ....I have turbo fan and turbo prop time, but not turbo jet. I was recently told to select that option to indicate as it indicates jet rating/experience. Whats your consensus?

A turbofan in the eyes of the FAA is a turbojet. If you have a type for a turbofan aircraft, you can select the box for a turbojet type. I don't recall the wording exactly, but it think it's specifically stating "type rating" rather than "flight time".

I agree, they are differentiating between a jet and a turboprop. Turbojet vs turbofan is irrelevant. Now a fanjet might be something else but I don't think that applies here.

I will continue to update my app but just curious in this environment am I pretty much toast or what? Cant imagine I'm the first to fail so looking for any insight. Unforutnate email to wake up to but trying not to lose faith. Thanks in advance.

I did the same. It’s been almost a year…. Haven’t heard anything. I’ve even been to recruiting event and added Airbus type rating and 150 hours in type. Crickets. Good luck.

This may sound like a stupid question just trying to follow the instructions exactly. In the requested paper work sets, they ask for an original and copy. Do they want 2 copies of each one marked copy and original in addition to the actual physical document? Does a valid US passport suffice for the US work authorization? Last, can the peach tree consultants be hand filled in or typed? ( easier for me to fill in the military portion if hand filled in due to space ). Really appreciate any help to these stupid sounding questions, just trying to have everything squared away. Thank you!

Follow the directions. “Original and copy” = original document and one photo copy. “One copy” = doesn’t have to be an original, just a photo copy.

US Passport is a work authorization.

Doesn’t matter on the consulting form. They give you one line to say your start and end dates, branch, and current rank.

Don’t overthink.

april interview/CJO here. anyone else received a class date yet?

polcat 05-20-2024 01:16 PM

April 23 interview and CJO, no class date yet. I'm expecting it'll be around 12 weeks from CJO to start of indoc.

YeahBuddy800 05-21-2024 01:25 AM

April 25th CJO, nothing yet.

Guys that got CJO in April, if you don't mind me asking, how long ago did you submit your application ?
Do you have more or less than 3000 hrs?
I have around 3000 hrs TT and 90% of it is jet time flying overseas for part 121. I know it is different for everyone but I want to see approximately how long it take to hear back.

Thanks

I’m probably an anomaly in this because I had nearly 12000hrs (99% of it 121). This was with 2 internal letters of recommendation added to my airlineapps app. Time wise it was about 2 months from application to Aon test and the interview after the Aon was approximately month later. Once the Aon test comes, everything moves forward quickly. I believe I heard similar timelines amongst the others that were interviewing. I was completely blown away by the whole experience and it was worth every effort put forth to be there.
