Last minute trips are very often high credit time broken trips. Far better than anything you’ll ever see in the bid package. Especially nowadays. I’ll take an easy WS over a hard GS any day. Also, ARCOS allows batches of WS trips to choose from. Previously a phone call from scheds was always for one trip at a time.

Because the company is trying to change the culture around WSs so they don't have to pay GSs. Aggregate pay for time worked in a month. That's also why I bid reserve during VAC and CQ months.

And, THE BID PACKAGES SUCK.

BWHAHAHAHAHAH!

Thank you. Not everyone is senior in category/seat/base and able to swing the GS gravy.

There was virtually no change to the WS process using ARCOS other then going from an analog to a digital process.

Auto acknowledge is huge for time management for scheduling. They can see how many auto accept/auto acknowledge are in a category. Eventually this will go system wide with OBWSs. Mark my words.

Yes sir, you have to know that's their aim. I'd love to see OOBWS drop down way down the coverage list, at the very least below in base GS.

Great. The faster we get through the ladder, the more likely commuters can take advantage of WS or GS..

man, i personally was hoping it would go the other way. I would rather any pilot be able to pick up an out of base trip after X # of PCS runs available to only in base pilots. I guess different strokes for different folks. But then again I probably spend more time traveling and spending time with friends and family in other pilot bases than your average pilot.

Less total premium pay for flying when a particular category is understaffed will be the result. I guess if they can cover any trip system wide, then there’s no incentive for staffing a base. We will all just bid a base with highest relative seniority and drop the whole month and OBWS what we want. I guess that works but I’ll be shifting from GS to IA to guarantee 2x pay if I pick something up then.
