Well, it's good that they got one, in the sense that we weren't going to get anything until they got something first. But getting two raises while we get no raises.. (they got one in fall 2019 if I recall)
How many more raises should we let the non-cons get before we deserve any raise?

I feel we deserve our raise irrespective of what non-contract employees get. Our process is different and shall be completed eventually. Their raise certainly doesn’t harm us, and probably helps.

I agree with you. It just ****es me off that I pay DALPA over $600 per month to watch the non-union employees do better than us. I've said it before. We're better off with ALPA than without, the non-union are better off having us unionized than not, but the non-unionized are better off than us.

One other equalizer on our contract vs. United and AA is that Delta operates w/ 2 Captains on 4 man crews…. United does not and I think AA (help on this one) does not either. They operate w/ 1 Captain and 3 FO’s. So the 4 man crews essentially doubles the high paying potential of the Delta fleet.

That’s more than 1100 hours/year at the top payrate. And how are they doing “better than us” exactly? The company knows they are going to have to pay us, so why wouldn’t they drag it out as long as we are picking up the slack day in day out?

Then you should say the union should cave for 4% and call it good.. Business is business. The company is going to do what it has to do to save as much money on our contract as possible and we are going to try and squeeze as much out of them as we can.
And it's been amendable since 2020. And you can't count the year+ we were losing millions a day.
Not saying we should have, but if we wanted moderate gains, we could have signed before the pandemic. But we wanted to hit a HR. We made our bed.

I agree that we overplayed our hand last time but this just seems very hypothetical.

Question to all who see this as a negative to the Pilots:
Would we be in stronger section 6 position vis-a-vis the RLA and the NMB with the 2 non-con pay raises or without? No need to answer, as I am being rhetorical of course. One can even make an argument that this makes full retro much easier.
I wish they would have gotten 15%
All time pax demand and pay raises being issued maybe DALPA can get something done.
Scoop.

Ed stated this is a $300 million investment in everyone else. Remember the initial offer to us by the company in January 2020 when business was booming? $28 million in contractual improvements. How is that not insulting?
