I think what he did was gross, i think if he promises to not do it again he should stick around another 20 years. I would bet the union thinks the same.

I’ll quick chime in. I haven’t had coffee yet so I’m a tad ornery.
I try to stay out of uniform when possible. Mostly cause I visit the DL clubs or Centurion Lounge for food. Furthermore, I don’t want to lose my big toothpaste (I use a specific kind not found in .99¢ tubes).
i do fear the woke mob, because there’s no limit to their outrage. What if I was reading Guns and Ammo on the plane in uniform? How about Reason Magazine or a Bill O’Reilly book? Could a far-left wokester take my picture if I was in uniform and say to Delta that they hired a far-right insurrectionist pilot? Yes. They could. While I don’t think I’d be fired, I don’t even want the hassle of HR or a Chief calling me about my reading choices.
I echo most thoughts about pilot dude. He’ll get his job back. He’s yucky.
