Oh I bet you do. Let me guess, you’re in the hat too; and if it’s winter weather instead of a pull over, it’s the jacket! This fits perfectly; thx for the laugh.

Absolutely not. I never wear the hat outside the doors of the airport. And if it is cold the jacket is, gasp, unbuttoned! I'm not changing my clothes between the airport and my bedroom. I'm not digging out a jacket from my bag because I'm paranoid about what Joe grocery shopper thinks about my clothes. I literally couldn't care less about what you think about that.

This thread is 7 pages of stupidity.

The weirdo who took the spank bank shots will probably get a stern talking to by his chief pilot and a penance of HR sensitivity training.

Those who won't commute in uniform for whatever reason how about this. Just mind your own business? Answer questions. Be nice to the customers. Enhance the profession.

I travel in uniform because 99% of the time I'm in the jumpseat as full as flights are these days. [MOD EDIT :TMI] The less exposure I have to the smurf police the better and a uniform gets treated differently than a schmuck with a pilot suitcase in plain clothes.

How about this? Sit on the plane, put your EarPods in and close your eyes. If a fight breaks out myob. Just like that SWA pilot at the gate in ATL last week when the fight broke out. He did a great job. Stood there and ignored the fight. You aren't seeing negative headlines about him are you? The problem is too many pilots have an authority complex and want to be the hero. Sit the hell down and be quiet. You won't have a problem.

Mods should close this thread.

still haven't heard a good reason to commute or DH in full uniform, vice uniform under a half zip. Maybe we are wrong...open to discussion as to why we should?? Change our minds!!

BTW...I heard of a guy who went to Goodwill and bought a gray half zip with a life insurance logo on it!! Lol!! Never had any issues on planes as a pax
Just to add to the controversy, I have a full zip. Wagging my arms above my head blindly for a second screams Delta pilot.

I travel in uniform because 99% of the time I'm in the jumpseat as full as flights are these days. It also helps when you get "random" (not random) inspected at KCM. Anyone who has done it knows the "randoms" are way higher for those in plain clothes. It doesn't matter what you have in your bag it's still a hassle. The less exposure I have to the smurf police the better and a uniform gets treated differently than a schmuck with a pilot suitcase in plain clothes.

You sure do have a lot to say in a thread you want closed. You need need last word don’t you. Once you’ve spoken on a topic, nothing left to say, huh. Good grief.

I disagree Margarita, I think it is fascinating to hear the opinions of both in uniform and out of uniform DH/Commuters. It's a technique we all have neither is wrong just a technique that I am sure we have all wondered "why" do they do that?

It's nice to finally know why both have good reasons

Thoughts while laughing at this humorous thread:
-Driving home is a choice. Learn from the (correct) commuters and swap out the uniform shirt for a polo.
-Full zip is better than half zip.
-You can identify the D8 APU pilots by their parka in July.
-Some pilots secretly like being seen in uniform and blame KCM.
-Size matters (at least in toothpaste)
-OOfff has good taste in distilled spirits.
-Every previous post was wrong. See below for confirmation.

I'm amazed how many pilots I see out of uniform non-reving. How do know they're pilots? Easy. They are wearing their company id around their neck so everyone knows.
