Any "Latest & Greatest about Delta?" Part 2
It occurred to be that a couple of contracts ago the extremely loud commentariat was on the ALPA forums (until ALPA closed them down).
Then APC was all the rage (except for the rage heads on chit-chat). Ended up with an initial contract voted down, lots of LEC/MEC recalls and a better deal.
This cycle my gut sense is that it will be thrashed out on the FB forums and the APC dinosaurs will be left scratching their heads.
Most of the "niche" exploitable contract loopholes were out of sight until about 18 months ago when they really blew up. Never really saw the strategies here on APC, but I'm told there are in depth discussions on other platform forums.
IDK. I hope that the ALPA negotiation committee understands that the tiny group with the bullhorn (which wields outsized power for their numbers) understands this.

I believe we will have a contract within a few months if not weeks. I believe that contract will have a trip coverage process with no auto accept or batch sizes. If you don’t want phone calls, take your slips out. I expect a better commuter policy, 5:15 per day for CQ, maybe 200 percent for day 1 of reroutes, some cleanup to 23.k, 20 percent DC contribution by end of deal, and at least a 10 percent pay raise immediately. I wouldn’t be surprised if reserve GS is changed to match lineholders. Double time over guarantee but PB days eliminated completely.
You might not agree with me and I don’t care. This would most likely pass memrat. I can almost guarantee you I’m close to what’s coming.

Also, don't negotiate in public.

And we better not reward 'reinterpretations' of PB days by giving them away. Ever. The company can't afford the quid required to give PB days back.

if we get a deal early I’m expecting it to be structured as a certain % DOS with COLA level raises every Jan 1 after.

I’m good with it. I wouldn’t call 10 percent 6 months early a small raise. Follow it with another 6 percent raise at amendable date, it gets pretty signifcant.

i don't negotiate in public, but from the hostility and inept ability to lead from fltops since RG arrived, my price just went up a tad bit since then. They have done alot of damage to our brand and relationship between the pilot group and mgmt.

WRT PB days. I see an agreement being reached where we go back to how PB days were before, where if you drop a trip with banked PB days, it applies as many PB days as you have to the length of the trip. Saves the company $ on washing trips and the union saves face by not giving up PB days. This will be part of the exchange for a quick deal and dropping that grievance. I’m not saying this is what I want, just where I think they will end up.
I definitely see potential for a quick deal from both sides. we will see later today how far apart we are.

Ironically, as stated before, just paying double time (over guarantee) like line holders would make them more valuable for a majority of pilots save a minority in the WB seats.
