We the API access with restrictions. There is no way Delta is going to let some random guy write code with AI and just give them access to DBMS. That's an IT security nightmare

Why not? Apparently they gave a small company called “Crowdstrike” full access.

Also, many schedule & rotation adjustments & trip assignments are done manually, and the coding of changes up to the individual scheduler. Garbage in/garbage out. An API can’t output information that doesn’t exist.

yuk yuk. All joking aside, Crowdstrike is a multi billion dollar, 10k+ employee cyber security company. Joe Pilot's AI App4piluts is a massive cyber security vulnerability

I know you're not making fun of Joe, the pilot hero who has fought the company for years over this very topic. I'll defend him to the death!

They really aren't using 23M7 outside of 8 hours. Just a straight up illegal assignment.

I'm guessing this varies wildly based on fleet/base, whether you seek it out, and if fly you nornal line. I'm at less than 1% so far this year, but I had some great months on reserve and rarely fly a bid packet trips as a line holder. I just don't seek it out. I see the 320/73N put up some incredible numbers, especially on 0xxx trips.

And every time they do so they make a mockery of the MEC members who thought it was wise to give away batch sizes in exchange for the pinky promise not to do that.

Management is coming for auto-accept next. We’ll see if the MEC has learned anything.

My point wasn't that we should do that. It was that it's very easy.

Sidenote: IT security on a locally running daemon with read access to antiquated SQL databases is trivial.

Yep. And what constitutes notification too... I'd be shocked if they don't ask for CNO to be valid for all things.

Don't. fall. for. it.
