However, I live in New England and we non-rev'd down to FL during the transition from Mass Spring Break to NH Spring Break....not just the city of Boston, we are talking entire states. I saw the oversold flights first hand...saw the delayed and cancelled flights in/out of FL first hand. It was a micro-snap shot of the bigger system....lots of demand for up/down the east coast during a two week period in April and we didn't have the pilots to support it. It does make sense.

Gonna be an interesting summer. A lot of pilots will max out with IA and GS for 3-4 months. After this it gets fatiguing. Add the fact that we have a lot of young captains and copilots with school age kids that will soon be on summer break. Mom and dad are going to want to spend time with the kids.
Through in possible frustration over the slow pace of negotiations…….

I noticed the ATL73NB had tons of open time that disappeared, and I'm guessing it went to reroutes or canceled. Not one single IA was given out which tells me no attempt was made. I wonder how many guys were rerouted into an illegal rotation since the open time was known about more than 14 hours out and no attempt was made to follow the trip coverage ladder, which includes IA's. That means if someone was rerouted into that open time, it was an illegal reroute (a lot of extra pay) and someone would be pay protected as well. Correct?
