23.M.7 exist now without VAS even being a thing, yet Scheds skips the GS step and goes straight to illegal RR, did the RR steal your GS, or did the schduder?

VAS don’t take away your GS.
my question is why didn't ALPA go after the root cause of the illegal RR and 23.m.7 issues and increase batch sizes during non quiet hours especially on these ultra short notice trips. The issue is that these trips can't get through coverage fast enough. We did nothing to change that so there will still be many 23.m.7 or VAS pilots used-which is supposed to be after GS but we all know it won't be

23.M.7 is a good thing as long as someone else gets paid. I hope they keep it up

Generally ... unless the affected pilot was due a RES green slip. For example, instead of flying a 3-day GS with associated 3+ PB days, he gets pay/no credit (yay!), but then gets flown on his LC days which would have been PB days, which affect reserve coverage, which means less premium for line holders and reserve during those affected days.

Saw this last summer with the 23.M.7 debacle. I speculate that there were 100's of PB days the company got out of by not following the coverage ladder.

But, yes, generally I agree 23.M.7 means more pay for the same amount of flying.

And if the guy or guys that got skipped, if on RES, got the PB days due.

If they aren't, why aren't they? Don't we pay dues for someone to ensure that we are properly paid and all that kind of thing?

In general I’d say that A pilot is getting paid extra for being skipped, but not necessarily THE pilot who actually wanted to work it.

why would you say it like that? he's exactly right. these guys leave slips in hoping to cash in with no intention to fly. How do you not know how this works? They pay 1 person, not everyone
