I don't come on APC much anymore but I got this email and my first thought was "Ooooo guys are gonna HATE this, I'm gonna go on APC"... was not disappointed.

Don’t like to spend too much time on things outside of one’s control so we’ll just have to see what happens. Overall I strongly believe Delta pilots have a bright future having and industry leading contract paired with an airline that is financially the strongest in the industry. Moreover, we are in the early innings of a big WB international expansion. I do not see the new head of Flt Ops having any materially negative impact on Delta pilots.

Maybe if we are lucky it will move RG into a less “hands on” direct management role in both pilots and dispatchers jobs and a more big picture general direction role of where he’s not **********g up your collective daily lives any further? At least we can hope right?!

A little turn away from the RG black hole we have descended into. What implications does this have for PB?

He will be placed where he can tell us how we are the best pilots and his wife is super impressed with our performance. She’s a Diamond Medallion after all.

I do think RG should get credit for breaking the tradition that not extending a duty period and fatigue calls are taboo. This group was overworked and finally decided to respond to the professional risk being applied.

Agree. He may have made moves that were beneficial to Delta as a company and probably even to pilots but the negatives he has subjected the pilot group to overshadow any of those good deeds.

To be an effective leader you should have the respect and trust of those you lead. I’m guessing very few Delta pilots have any respect or trust for him.

ASA never flew ATR-72-500s. They did fly ATR-72-212s. I would think someone who claims they flew it would know that and know there's a pretty significant difference. But then you make a lot of wild claims, and judging by the comments here you have a serious credibility problem.

I've never met you, so I can't say for sure, but I've read a lot of your stories here, and always come away thinking "this guy is a management stooge whose full of crap. Another bootstrapper who thinks his crap doesn't stink". Read the room man. If 50 guys are telling you you're out in left field, maybe they're not the ones who are wrong.

Years of the same ****. Just enjoy the bad takes and remember its gonna be a decade soon of him trying to worm himself into the 4th floor.
I just want the 5 year weather forecast.
Unfortunately it's going to be many decades...as things stand right now, this dude isn't scheduled to depart the seniority list until the Summer of 2050.
