The Gumm Strikes Back

Fun fact. I love the 717 and won’t be leaving. My QOL is way better than what I experienced when RG ruined the 320. My $30-40k a year paycut (I can hold every NBA easily in every base) is worth it to avoid the suck created during RG’s tenure. So take your condescending tone somewhere else. You are finding reasons that don’t exist for why we feel the way we feel about RG.

Im happy now. Afraid of what may come with RG. Deflect all you want. You won’t paint a happy narrative here. This is a loss for the pilot group. Maybe not a big one, but it’s a loss. Putting someone in charge who has no respect for us is wrong. Putting someone in charge who a majority don’t respect is wrong. Whoever put him in that position is out to lunch.

I suggest to you a great read, The Reckoning by David Halberstam.
“It is a historical overview of the auto industry in the United States and Japan, with a focus on Ford and Nissan. In a well-researched and very readable narrative, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author chronicles the personalities and company politics that decided the key issues.”
The parallels are shocking.

It’s tough to revisit it in a year or two. You view things through a different lens. You look at W2 and profit sharing. I find that stuff important but I feel like, based on your posts, QOL is way more important to me than you. That’s where we lose.

Well…who is the bogeyman? Who’s responsible for the way things are now? Record GS, record fatigue calls, most categories understaffed, horrible domestic rotations, etc. Someone is responsible. And you’ve absolved pretty much all of Flt Ops leadership.
