I think every governing body has its warts, because humans. If it’s cathartic to identify every wart you see, go for it. If you’ve got a wart cream you’ve seen work - I think you should offer it up.
We can find fault with anything - from Miatas (that’s easy) to the GT3 RS. My HOA can be awful, as can everything from the school board to the federal government. Plenty of folks live to rant. Luckily it’s not as prolific in the cockpit as it is here.
Because I want this place to preserve some value, I hope we trend toward offering actionable information or ideas that are useful in the real world. Of course that’s in the eye of the beholder. We keyboard warriors can decide for ourselves when logging in to see what clouds got the most yelling in any given day is worthwhile. For me, the trend vector is not good.

I'm not sure it's apathy entirely. I tend to refrain from voting on things I haven't formed a strong opinion about. I'd rather abstain than be duped into a poor decision. I know, just me.
If you want to get philosophical, that's fine, because frankly, most governments other than a benevolent dictatorship suck, and even that would when said dictator dies and the next one takes over.. ALPA, like all representative democracies fail because there is no limit to how long those in power are allowed to remain so. And before you go there, people are apathetic so the whole ballot box idea of term limits is folly. I'll bet if we had an election on just about anything right now you would be lucky to get 30% participation. But there is a lack of checks and balances within alpa that is obvious, but unlikely to ever change.
What say you?

This place has become every bit the dumpster fire as anywhere else.
This thread is but another example.
But hey, record numbers of gs's keep getting covered, so it's all good.
