Everything here is much more PIC centered, almost like the implication permeating everything is that FO's are these mouth breathing cavemen that are only good for slinging gear, flaps and being ballast.
I've been here for 9+ years, 7 as a FO, and I didn't experience what you apparently have. Almost every captain I've flown with has been open to feedback/suggestions. Have you tried the international side of the operation? I definitely felt a more collaborative team driven vibe when I was flying 3 pilot ops to Europe.

Same. I feel for the folks flying with these captains and getting harassed while eating sans hat. I’ve had two captains like that in 13 years as an FO. Never once approached about my hat off while eating in the ATL based now for 13 years.

any Captain who accosted someone over a hat, ESPECIALLY while eating, needs his ass kicked. Sorry, but that’s chicken $h1t.

It's not just captains. 2 of the incidents I am aware of were F/Os who are ACPs.

Delta is kind of an anomaly where Captains answer to F/Os who work in the CPO. They are above captains in the Org Chart.

Which I didn't become aware of until one wrote me up.

Sorry, my bad. Never on the hat, anywhere in 18 years. Only two captains with the God complex that was being spoken of earlier.

Any FOM nerds know the answer? Do we actually need to wear a hat if we are eating? I lost my hat in a house fire. I’ve been calling out “unfit for duty” all month until I get my replacement, but I want to make sure I’m 100% compliant when I go back to work

Used to be that only captains called other captains in the CPO. That's been my experience since I've been here and to date

I guess the NY CPO has some power hungry FO ACPs. Did you call your reps about this?
