Like I said earlier, if some 20 something ACP calls me I'm going to politely disengage and have his boss call me.

Be well.

Do you think this is really necessary? I know this place has a well deserved reputation for being sticklers about the hat, but you aren't willfully disregarding the FOM if your hat burned up in a fire and I think/hope even the most power hungry CP's would understand and rather you be flying.

My sarcas-o-meter is on CDL at this hour, but I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that I don’t think he’s serious.

Learn from my mistake. It's not a "I want to talk to your boss" thing. They are your boss. Even if they are younger than your grandkids and were hired last month.
i say this not with negativity, but rather astonishment. How could you possibly not think that anyone affiliated with the cpo does not have the authority to execute deltas power as your employer? This is wild

same, I just assumed ACPs were FOs for the same reason LVPs are FOs, DL is getting away with paying an FO to do something instead of a CA. But in that same regard, I would not treat an LVP giving me a checkout any differently than an LCP.

Assuming the story’s went as you said CXT, the only thing I have questions about is why a company repressive would push a pilot to a FAR violation (exceeding block limit). did they not know better? Or were they knowingly pushing pilots to violate FARs to “get the mission done”. TBH neither are acceptable. But I also have to say I’ve never had an interaction like you describe.

I don't condone HKs overall tone or suggested course of action in his posts on this subject, but the company has hired some VERY inexperienced ACPs over the past few years.

I don’t doubt it. Although the only ACPs I’ve ever dealt with were senior to me. But I knew before day 1 of OE at my regional that block time was not extendable. That is a basic thing I would expect anyone with an ATP who has ever flown pt.121 to understand. There is 0 excuse for that.
