Those are pay raises for everyone. What some don’t understand is that QOL item means you’ll fly less for equal money = more days off for extra flying if desired = More Money at the end AT YOUR DISCRETION, not imposed by PBS.
Along those lines, I’d like to see the formula adjusted (especially if we get another increase in VAC pay) so that in a month with vacation reserve pilots would be on the hook for fewer LC days. For example, in Nov, with an ALV of 72 and the extra X day, a pilot defaults to 16 on call days. 7 days of vacation bumps the pay to 87:17 but still with 12 LC days. If we bump VAC from 4:35 to 5:15 that’s just going to drive them pay over 90 hours but still have 12 days on call. I’d rather keep the same or a tad less pay but then need only say 10 LC days for the bid period. 2 weeks of vacation right now is over 102 hours but still 8 LC days. Again with a VAC value bump I’d say keep the pay the same but adjust the formula so that you’d only need 4-5 LC days for the bid period.

The beauty of this kind of thing is that it goes under the radar for Noncons. They just look at our pay rates and have no clue on work rules or trip rigs. Mgmt gets to say they kept out pay (rate) down while we are happy with the W2. Win-win.

Bingo. I'd also like to increase ADG to 6. Or, even better, make it a true 6 min day (doubt we could get that though).

Don’t know and have no idea how that relates to what I posted. If you are truly a QOL pilot what you should be asking for is 5:15 pay and credit! Regardless however of the value it should be pay and credit!

You understand he is talking about it being CREDIT as well as pay? You are talking about only pay.

No I'm not. I'm asking when we 100% rejected it being 5:15 pay and credit. I was junior and I didn't vote against that.

Where are you getting 5:15 from? He's just talking about making it credit. Apparently it must have been floated back in sailing's day and "100% rejected."

I'm all for it though!

So ...can you quote him saying "voted against 5:15" or is that just how you repackaged what he was saying into something unsaid?
