Don't want a call, don't put a QS in.

Why do you think this will increase phone calls you don't want?
My comment was in reply to GogglesPisano who stated:

"I'd just appreciate not being ARCOS'd at 3am when I have zero chance of actually being awarded the GS."

Well, now it won't be a 3am ARCOS blast for a GS (pre-MOU 20-04) or phone blast for IAs (post Batch Size Giveaway) ... it'll be 3am ARCOS blasts for a QS.

Not on my fleet. GSs often go out 24-48 hours prior to report. Of course, there’s still a good amount of <8 hour GS, but nothing really sits long.

but this could have already happened with a skip to inverse assignment, yet they still used green slips.

whatever, the point is moo.
yeah, which is better. it makes it into a step that respects seniority instead of a free-for-all…and makes the tracking easier

Additional thought, the company just added more to our negotiation plate. Unless the QS concept works flawlessly, there will be tweaks after pilots complain. Again, the company likely sees QS as a cost savings, so we’ll be giving up something we didn’t intend to fix the glitches we didn’t think we’d see.

IMO, union should have saved this chestnut for negotiations. But what do I know?

what cost savings does the company get with a quick slip system?

FAIL
you keep saying ALL PREMIUM, which is blatantly false.

Because it's not the same process. QS is automated, not an IA free for all, side deals will be pretty much eliminated, contractual seniority gets reestablished, and now you have a choice on whether you get phone calls or not (which wasn't the case with IAs). And they have to actually identify the skipped pilot before they can cover the trip, now who knows if people are getting paid for being skipped.

And reminder, what they are doing today is not an IA. They are just using that as a placeholder because they have no other way to code it. An IA per the contract is not a profer and you have to fly it if called. I think a lot of people would be responding differently if this is what was actually going on.
