It does require a proctored test though. (Self tests don’t count)

Surprisingly tricky to find places that still offer this (website says “yes”, but at the point of sale it’s “we don’t do that anymore.”)

But if you think you have the flu, spend the $10 on a Covid self test kit then proceed as you see fit.

(Also, there’s an antiviral specifically designed to fight Covid called Paxlovid. $1500 for a 5 day course, $420 with insurance. Worth every penny. Get on that stuff the second you pop positive and don’t look back)

If you consider a cold a “thing” then yeah Covid is still a thing.

Covid is not something I even think about anymore.

The covid sick time exemption is moot right now with all lookback and verification requirements removed. The only point in getting a covid test was so that those sick hours wouldn't count towards your lookback.

I thought they got rid of that covid lookback exemption a year ago or so? They just treat it like normal sick now. Am I wrong?

What you may be remembering is you once again get charged sick time for Covid, but a (proctored) positive test will exempt that time from look back.

Yes it’s still a thing. I got covid in July, got a test from urgent care, send the paperwork and they take the lookback away.

They have to finish step in progress before hitting the 23M7 button. They can't go to that without identifying the pilot who is skipped and due M7 pay.

Out of the loop. When 237M strikes and the trip goes out as an IA instead of normal trip coverage sequence, are we just to assume a senior pilot got paid the 23M7 using WS to farm 237M trips, or is scheduling communicating to those left in no-mans land after 237M strikes and a rotation goes out as an IA. Seems pretty dodgy that we don’t get any receipt from the company that they actually paid out the 237M penalty to the senior pilot.
