thanks for a quick response to what is becoming an apparent disinformation campaign from the company. Clearly our negotiating team has VERY strict no leaks policy in place and they are sticking to it exceptionally well! Strong move on their part. It just further erodes credibility with all the BS the company is trying to spin out when the exact same info is ALWAYS the same from our union! Thanks for taking this as seriously as it needs to be taken!

you need new sources.

For those who are unaware, these two’s track record is proven and rock solid.
According to two of my reps, they have not been briefed yet. There is a Special MEC meeting next week, where the NC will brief them on progress. Sounds like they will decide to fish or cut bait on the ‘short path’ following.
Also, weekly update from ALPA states:

Last week, the Negotiating Committee met with the Company again in Atlanta. Scheduling remained the main topic of discussion. As it is a fundamental, complex part of our PWA, it takes significant time to analyze. Discussions are ongoing, and the MEC will be further briefed on negotiation progress at next week’s special MEC meeting.

Track records can be deceptive too. There are tons of guys saying all kinds of stuff on this site. Inevitably, someone will be close to correct. Doesn't make everything they say gospel.

Anonymous dudes on the internet vs multiple reps saying differently. The MEC email doesn't paint a picture of an imminent deal either.

Very interesting times indeed.

Predicting it now, soon we will likely shoot down a garbage, concessionary giveaway that the Gummster will claim was a "very good deal" in a scathing email within the upcoming weeks, blaming the failed TA all on pilots, while summer burns and they try to hire their way out of it (but continue to fail, since infinite reserves still doesn't solve the entire puzzle). The beatings will continue!

I can see what these company leaks are posturing for...

Who would "leak" a good deal is imminent?
The union has no incentive to leak a good or bad deal because it is a result of 17000+ subjective opinions. Unless there was a specific individual who was personally tied to the deal both reputationally and politically, like maybe Donut yelli. P E B ! The union has to allow the deal to stand on its own merit there is no incentive to characterize it as good or bad. The company on the other hand could both garner support or give the impression of a missed opportunity depending on the outcome. Hmmm. I wonder which it could be.
