This is exactly my understanding. Company wanted it applied specifically to the 350 but fortunately ALPA said we need to codify it for everyone. I guess we didn’t realize they could randomly pull their mutual consent.

If you want to send a clear message, don't go, don't engage, don't respond to surveys, don't show up to base visits, none of it. Have self respect, that means stop entertaining antisocials. Show apathy until it is no longer warranted, it is really that simple.

CE Woolman, Bethune, Kelleher and Anderson were worth your time, our leadership and modern executive teams for that matter are NONE of that.

Fly the jet, go home. Enjoy family, close friends, hobbies and be thankful you aren't a M-F drone making 1/10th the money. You get one life, live it!

If you bid reserve it’s actually a good deal. You can effectively plop it down in the middle of 5 LC days. Effectively 2 days of commutable “work” renders you useless for 5 potential LC days, and the way it works out is it adds 5 hours on top of reserve guarantee. The food is good, you can ask some pointed questions, you get a swag bag full of trinkets for the kids. I also arranged to go with a bunch of my old Air Force buddies so we turned it into a little reunion.

But to your point the whole thing was a little disorienting. Felt like a giant propaganda festival. It was clearly designed for the other employee groups. The 20 or so pilots there all kind of on an island. I went a few weeks ago and I can confirm the VPs are not happy with how things are regarding OOBWSs.

I went on a reserve month because it paid a little extra and just like CQ I used it to break up a chunk of reserve to force usage and rest issues. Just because you attend doesn’t mean you need to drink the koolaid. Parts of it were entertaining, parts were informative, and parts were pretty gag-worthy. Basically what I expected going in.

😁
"Fight the enemy where the enemy is not." At Velvet 360 one is literally showing up on the battlefield. By asking questions you are also signaling that you still care and the tactics they employ to get under your skin are working. Think old school plantation mentality.

EPIC FAIL

Work from the shadows.

But think about what you are signaling by even showing up. What you signal is more important than the measly amount of post tax W2 that shows up after that thing. I would rather slug out a domestic trip with a cool line pilot than go to some North Korean style propaganda event, that's just me though and I don't do office work, SLI or special projects.

At this point in the game, signal is 100% of the strategy. Give them nothing to point at, no reference to a horizon and no breaks until a complete flush and reboot is initiated. In the end its for the betterment of the company, shareholders, public, etc.

I went last year when I was in my base. The Ops breakout session was informative. The rest was a waste of time.

A reunion with military buddies... I could see myself doing a sportfisher out of Jupiter for the day, not sure about going to Atlanta though. Well, most definitely not.

haha yeah not ideal, but it was fun to see everyone. We all have little kids so easier to get away when it’s “work”.

Can somebody, anybody, please educate her on this? The iCrew programming, the history of one PB day being needed, etc. Somebody needs to inform her, because obviously ALPA has not educated her.

She doesn't want to be informed. She's trying to save her own job. It's okay obvious she's going to burn it down to save it.
