I say call Anderson's bluff, this isn't his best offer. He will either have the pilots onboard going forward or not. Delta can operate two certificates for a decade I guess. This TA is being expedited because he wants the 717's to appear to be tied to a TA ratification, he already purchased CRJ-900 positions last year, 50-seaters need heavy checks or replacement and under our current scope/work rules we will have to hire sooner than later.
Of course it wasn't his best offer. There was money left for all of the other Delta employees to get a raise based on our efforts. I mean, duh. Nu |
Here's a good ?. A competitor in bankrurptcy is announcing delivery and schedules for B777-300's and we are leasing B717's?

I don't think you get it. Sure, if the rotations are the same as they are now, what you state would be true.
But the rotations will not look like they do now. Denny |
I've asked to have a sub forum, we shall see.

I'm not seeing the downside here. We don't like 3 day 11hour trips. You say the trips will not look like this......What's bad about that!?! What will they look like?

88 pilots on reserve will probably see a 30% or so raise.
We all admit that this does not meet our expectations that we filled out in the survey. Who really cares. The TA doesn't meet the surveys demands. Period. Send it back. Strictly business. Carl |

We all admit that this does not meet our expectations that we filled out in the survey. The difference day one is 7.2% give or take. One must ask if the reward is worth the risk for 140 million dollars. Just an honest question. You must take the emotion out of this, look at it objectively and go from there. Carl |

The blow back from this strategy and ill fated decision will be facsinating to watch this summer. You all have seriously miscalculated the pilot group. Have to give you one prop though. You all have some sheer audacity and balls for trying to force this one down on everyone in face of the external factors breathing down the MEC committee's necks. But we already are familiar with the impudence that you swim in as it has been on full display and never more so than with the handling of the FPL resolutions. |
