Let me throw this out to you. I have no inside information or influence but this is just food for thought. Let's say this TA is resubmitted with the following changes, would it be acceptable?

1) Pay rates +12.8% over current rates at DOS, +4% January 1, 2013, +4% January 1, 2014
2) Profit sharing unchanged (current levels, not TA)
3) +2% to DC plan
4) Section 1 unchanged or REAL improvements, no more 70+ seat RJs
5) This is a biggie to me. AMENDMENT DATE 12/31/2014

This would give productivity improvements the company wants and a contract we don't have to swallow for so many years. Since this TA was negotiated in short order, it may behoove both parties to have shorter contracts with quick paced negotiations in this highly dynamic business environment.

The pay rates are much lower on your proposal than I swore I would ever accept but I might consider this. You would also need to make the reserve ALV+15 optional and not mandatory.

Yea I want the most $$ I can get also. The point of my idea is get the $ in our pockets now, with real inflationary increases, but do it under shorter duration contracts. If the company's business plan rocks our world, then great, let's talk again in two years and not sit back and watch Delta make record profits for years while they wait for an industry downturn to renegotiate.

I have watched this fast paced negotiations and I think I like it. Let's say there is an industry downturn, it would allow us to GULP, give concessions for short terms, not the POS we've been working under for years; when the industry or just Delta thrives, so do we.

Keep an open mind folks. I'm a NO vote right now but if given certain improvements with modest gains and shorter durations, I could go yes.

Again, food for thought.

Don't even try to tell me that we'll be at parity with FedEx in 2015.

Airbus A300-600F MTOW---376,000 lbs --- Pay TODAY-- 261.00

B767-300ER MTOW --- 412,000 lbs --- MAX Pay TA 2015--- 226.00

FedEx will be getting 767's next year-- wanna guess what the pay will be on day one?

FedEx opens Section 6 in 10 months so by 2015 who knows how much further ahead they'll be.

Anyone got that number for that truck driving school?

I've heard from several people that things were/are on fire in the ATL crewroom this afternoon...... (and not in a good way.)

Current PWA: 255 76 seaters
vs
C2012 TA: 325 65-76 seaters which includes 223 76 seaters and 102 E170s/CRJ700s.
Or...
PWA now for 51+ seat jets: 19,380 seats
vs
C2012 TA now for 51+ seat jets: 23,658 seats

631 total RJs (unlimited 50 seat and Q-400s allowed):

376 50s 18,800 seats
102 70s 7,140 seats
153 76s 11,628 seats

Total= 37,568 seats

Without TA with more narrow bodies:

376 50s (unlimited) = 18,800+ seats
255 76s = 19,380

Total = 38,180 minimum

With TA: 450 RJs Capped

125 50s = 6,250
102 70s = 7,140 seats
223 76s (32 less) = 16,948

Total = 30,338 seats

Mainline adds 10,296 seats
DCI loss 7230 seats (plus any evilQ400 planes)

Scope up or Scope down?

Good. Hopefully we send this TA back to the oven to cook a little longer. Getting it "done" early didn't work out, the scope and profit sharing are still a little raw.

Management will park more of the existing mainline fleet. The snapshot for ratios doesn't occur for a couple years. Everything in this new proposal that can be exploited will be. The above math equation will go lurching off into left field.

Good. Maybe the MEC is reaching out to DAL to open up the books again, so as not to wait too long after it gets voted down.
