Do we get to move up a number if it's just a no-nev'en daughter?:D

Just kidding, hope it's not true.

You read my mind. I figured the adequate quid would be ALV+7.5 since that is the max a line holder could get assigned in a month. What you ask though requires negotiating capital from the TA. It would cost something to get that 7.5hrs per reserve back.

I think you and Shiznit are correct on both Pay Equality, and targetting the LCW (ALV + 7.5). Why on earth would a Reserve fly more, and get paid less all the while?

No earthly idea!:D

I guess they decided to use the "white slip pickup" limit instead.

Even so, with all the steps it takes to get to a reserve who has already flown up to the 71-79:59 range, it would take some bad luck to hit a month in the ALV +9 range or higher.

Well the NC did a goo job getting the ADG, and making sure it applies to RES pilots... When I was maddoggin in ATL we could have benefitted greatly from that.

It's a negotiation, we will get it, but we won't get it all at once.

Agreed, I am still on the fence because of the pay and retirement. 5 10 5 and 5 would have worked for me, with a little more to the DC plan. Why we had to give up a third of the profit sharing is beyond me.
Who put out the 2-2.5 billion number on re-engining the RJ's? It seems high to me at 10-12.5 million per airframe.

It's more bull dung from Mettler.

His letter was pretty well written, but unless someone else can verify the info, I'd be very hesitant to make any decisions based on it. Never met the guy, but he puts some seriously goofy stuff on the DALPA boards.

I wouldn't give his garbage one single ounce of consideration when making a decision on this TA. His numbers are suspect, his conclusions are the worst kind of tripe, etc etc etc.. (I wish I knew the quote from Ghostbusters)... because it applies here.
