Non-rev question.
If you use an S2 pass and have two flights on the same day, but don't book them in travelnet together do you use up two S2 passes, or just the one? I looked on the travelnet page, FAQ, etc, but no joy. Thanks ahead of time for anyone who knows. |

But also the requirement to staff more summer vacation weeks will very much lead to higher staffing as more guys will be taking a trip or two off during the peak flying. A small category that adds 1 slot each week over just one summer month will cause 98 credit hours of flying to be left uncovered, that is more than 1 Capt could cover, which at minimum causes the company to staff for 2 more Capt slots, (then double it for the FO seat too). Imagine in categories where they have to add 3-6 MORE slots each week during the summer! Staffing increases for everyone. We have almost 70 categories at Delta, that adds up to a lot more positions (if you agress with the "Delta staffs for Jul/Aug" theory) I love secret money! Thanks for answering! |

A reserve is now full at "his" guarantee, not "the" guarantee. All known absences are figured into the guarantee calculation. For example, let's assume an ALV of 77+30, which would yield a reserve guarantee of 75+30. A pilot has one week of vacation during the month worth 22+45 under the TA.
(75+30)-(22+45)= 52+45 for "his" reserve guarantee. He would be full when he reached that. Today he can be flown all the way up to 75+30. |

If said reserve pilot is at 52+44, could he be assigned a trip that would cause him to exceed "his" guarantee? Or is done? Also, if a reserve has no known absences for the month then in your example he would be subject to 75+30. So if he is at 75+29, can he be assigned a trip that would take him to 92+30? |
What he is saying is under the TA whatever your guarantee is (not alv-2) that shows on your sked is where you are done. With two weeks of vacation it could be in the 30's.

Slow if you have a projection of 40 and have flown a five hr turn could they hit you for a trip that goes to ALV+15. Ala, ALV 74 and you have flown 5 and get a 82 hr 12 day trip to get you to 87 hrs of credit plus vacation pay with no credit?
The way I read that guarantee is projection but ALV and ALV+15 still stand. |

Yes, but if you're under your projection can you be assigned a trip that takes you past it?

I believe so and that is why I asked the scenario above, because I can see that being totally legal and allowed like it is today. |
18 on SC 6/12 ATL88B. Is that a record?
