Also FWIW, DAL is not expecting to get to NRB before the end of the year. If we do it will be a pleasant surprise.

100 seater?

LA and Seattle gates?

Hat and tie relief? leather jacket?

Compass integration?

Skyteam airlines?

New F/A hiring?

where are the 777's going to fly?

will 777's be moved from jfk to dtw?

what markets are giving the best yields?

is nairobi back on in the fall?

if I decide to commute to DTW, where are the cheap, but safe areas to buy a commuter pad?

Welcome Scambo. What are your thoughts?

Some folks had posted the LGA guess a few weeks ago and it didn't happen. Not that it won't. Personally, I hope we burn it to the ground and get rid of the bad mojo there - Eastern, USAir. Its the kiss of death for airlines. But it is bigger than our current terminal so maybe it will have more than two options for food.

We are already in the old satellite terminal at SEA. Totally packed and like LGA has two options for food. As for the 100 seater your guess is as good as mine. I say reengine the -9 with some V2500 engines. Efficient, paid for, and if the design has been good for NWA for 40 years, I say it can be good for the new DAL for another 40! TIC of course.

Maybe. But they also sold $175m in assets to do it and are paying around 18% interest on the note. They are merely masking the trouble in my opinion. However, their PRASM was down around 17% which is better than CAL which had a 22% drop. Not looking forward to our numbers.

Blaine........then tell us what you think pull and plug is.

I guess what we're trying to say is you don't post often, and when you do you're the crazy man from the outfield seats either cheering your side on or telling the ump he ..cks.

Somebody else mentioned this but lets move the SLI discussions back to the Merger and Acquisitions section where it belongs. This has nothing to do with the "Latest and Greatest". The M&A hasn't seen life in its section since the SLI award so its probably craving some attention.

I agree, and stated this idea a page ago.

Better numbers that I though they would have. I also agree that they are masking the problem. I would like to see how they hit their general ledger with this cash infusion.

Ferd, I knew I like you for a reason. You sound like that judge in My Cousin Vinny. "That was a lucid, intelligent, well thought out objection. OVERRULED!!" Ok, all kidding aside, you invite opposing arguments and with reason and an open mind. I bet you can't even spell "inective" much less throw it around, unlike some others...;)http://www.moviesounds.com/vinny/overuled.wav

You are taking into account that no matter what equipment you were on at the time you were categorized as the lowest category at FDL, an -88 FO, aren't you. I just mention this because I've noticed a sort of entitlement mentality among some of the the newest members of the company who moved amost immediately into widebody positions when no one else was bidding them. A little perspective would tell you to be happy where you are but don't look at it as your given right.
