The rumor I’m hearing is Delta is going to try to staple Comair/Compass/Mesaba to the bottom of DALPA. All flying will be done by Mainline except for FreeDumb/ASA/SkyWest/Pinnacle/RAH.

Is this your way of asking if any of us at Delta think this is going to happen, or just wishful out-loud thinking?

Now a south guy bidding MSP -9 I would think would be different because it is an existing position and not a new one (although it would be new for us...dunno). |

I was wrong. For that I am truly sorry. I got bad information and I should not have posted that there was a possibility that something positive was just around the corner until it was completely confirmed. Any announcement on the 15th is unbeknownst to me and the 15th should just be another day. I am sorry I got people's hopes up. I was so wrong for doing that. My intention was only to say, as I knew it at the time, that 'hey some goods news is finally coming.' But I was wrong. Nothing is forthcoming. For the multiple insults that are heading my way I will accept all (except those pertaining to family members) and I profusely apologize to everyone, hoping you have it in your heart to forgive. Since I made such a colossal blunder this will be my last post. Opus Once again, apologies to all! |

Compass I can see. A bunch of guys with 1-2 years longevity and it would iron out a few of the wrinkles with a flow up /flow down. The other carriers I don't see it, not now. They have enough on their plate. |

For those who are considering moving to MSP, make sure you go and spend AT LEAST a week looking around and interacting with the locals. While relatively safe, it is an uncommonly expensive city to live in. If you are a seafood lover, get used to Walleye (it's gross) or Red Lobster, cause that's about it. Unless you are from Minnesota or Wisconsin, you may be given the cold shoulder by the locals. It's just they way they are...everything revolves around what town you live in (Edina vs Eden Prarie), where you went to high school, and what hockey team you kid plays on. You may be able to tolerate it, but from what I understand, spouses, who are there 24/7, don't like it at all because of this. It's hard to break into the local social scene unless you live in a neighborhood of other out-of-towners.Nu |

I would be highly skeptical of anybody at Compass spreading that rumor. It's what we'd all love to have happen, and there are some guys who have strongly pushed for it, but there's nobody here that's highly enough placed to have heard anything about it. Remember, we have nobody on the MEC that represents us, and are currently without so much as a coordinator.
