Ha! Delta should put this slogan on the sides of all of the remaining DC-9s! |
hm..
hm....I think i'm going to take a stab here. I heart reserve. Lets see...
"it doesn't exactly benefit the senior guys"...so that makes me think it's something in the narrowbody area. I have two guesses. 1.) An asset purchase from usair with e190's attached. 2.) Half guess/half question. With republic buying frontier and midwest does that create any conflicts with Delta's feed contracts? How does this change Delta's relationship with them? ie...regional partner to competitor? Perhaps the e175's that they fly for Delta will be coming to compass? Or mainline? I see additional md-90's as great...but an old rumor...and I would think there would be, as mentioned before, a 1:1 swap with the md-88's. Enlighten me, fly2002 |
Stab all you want. People that have any knowledge have been told to button their lips. They have taken that to heart, so we will all wait twiddling our thumbs.

I understand acl....it would just be great for morale given all that's out there. Thanks for posting,

I'm not in the "know" , so just wanted to pass along this thought. We are fortunate in this thread to have some solid "Humint" (human Intelligence for non military types). As with any source, you never want to burn them. Our guys are saying they have gone as far as they are able. It's up to us to either connect the dots (which they can not confirm) or wait for an announcement mid-month.
Thanks to those of you that have brought credible intelligence to this thread. This is one of the reasons I'm here and not at DALPA forum. You guys have a good track record. V/R, TC |
Well said Tomcat.

Reserve question for DAL-S:
Do you only have to check your schedule after 3pm base time or do you also have to check sometime in the morning? Thanks, |
My understanding is, as a reserve pilot, you have to check your schedule after 3pm base time for next day flying. If you have checked it and then get assigned flying the next day, scheduling should call you. If you have NOT checked you schedule after 3pm and they put flying on your schedule, they do NOT need to call you. You can check your schedule before but make darn sure you at least check it after 3pm. That is what counts.
It's been awhile since I sat reserve and I'm not sure if there is something about calling you if the flying is before 12 noon and not calling if the flying is after 12 noon. Denny |
They run the schedules at 0700, 1200, and 1500 Mecca time. I check my schedule after those three periods just so I know what I am doing.

I completely understand the need for certain info to be kept secret, but I don't understand why people who know then choose to get on message boards and tell others that they know something but can't tell anyone. Why not just wait like the rest of us instead of tormenting the masses with "I know something you don't know." By the way I am not directing this solely at you ACL. |
