Stuck in the NE. 49 hr layo now if I'm lucky. But nothing is open and no transport avail. Walked to a couple bars and almost got airborne holding onto my inverted umbrella. So tired of trying to find true info on what flts are still on to get home. Starting to get painful and the power hasn't even gone out yet.

Flight ops would like to hire to smooth out the training and lower displacements. Last I heard the powers to be above flight ops are against that plan so I expect no hiring until next fall. The good news is that this was a net positive bid and starting with the next bid we will be staffing for the shift of over 1000 jobs from DCI to the mainline. Those bids will be ongoing for the next 3 years.

With a very quick bit of research on DBMS, he's on a long trip right now and very much current.
He was out sick for a while, but it was normal sick time (where you continue to bid normally), and then went to SLOA which is the normal progression of things. No lines were bid when he went unqualified and on SLOA.

Wonder if the guys making that decision are the same type as those that testified against my bunk in the arbitration? It sucks that our own are working against us. Hope they have fun when they're flying.
