Yes, because we all know DALPA has always negotiated ironclad contracts; no contract ever signed by DALPA has ever contained loopholes. And management has never exploited our ambiguous contract language before. YGBSM.

I simply cannot believe a Delta pilot is just fine giving away Delta flying. We've already given up plenty. Why should we be at peace with that? Our goal should ALWAYS be to fly "every single flight Delta Air Lines is associated with." You are trying to convince me that we should continue to support the erosion of our careers. Your naivete boggles my mind.

So tell me, johnson, when will you have a problem with code sharing, outsourcing, etc? Surely there is some point at which even you will stop defending DALPA enabling our competitors' growth at Delta pilots' expense. I've reached that point. Exactly what is that point for you?

Man, you are a drag. Offer some cogent arguments and move on. Are you really a pilot? I simply can't imagine flying in the same cockpit with you. Wow. Your negativity boggles my mind. "Gear up," "Nahh, you get it."

Not trying to pick a fight, but nothing in his post led me to that conclusion.

I've said it many times. I like being here. But folks like yourself who are drunk blind on Widget-aid are management's wet dream and only hurting our ability to do better.

We can do better.

I flew my first 757 with the ACARS 601 and the autoload FMS yesterday. The ACARS software is a mess but the autoload was awesome. I am not sure, but it seemed much faster than the 767ER. I hit init request and then the chimes just kept ringing with new pages to load. Man I am lazy.

I agree with your sentiment but you are far too heavy handed. If you do some research you will find that I am not drinking the Aid. Just some sage advice: lighten up a little. If you do, your opinion will go much farther.

Hey Ferd,

I'm a drive by most of these days as well.

Here's some good news: the NWA/DAL merger set an industry gold standard that other carriers are striving, without success, to meet. I have a whole new set of brothers and sisters who've overcome significant hurdles and cultural changes to create the most successful major airline in the world. I'm so proud.

And, I have new buddies like you! Life is good.

Hey Purple,

I was PMNW. Did the AS agreement come from PMDL or PMNW? What about the JV with KLM? Did DALPA negotiate that?

Who has Purple? Give me an example. Every Major airline in the USA has a marketing agreement with another airline. Including SWA. That creates a lack of leverage. If every house in your area is selling for an average price, will you come in and get it for half the price? So how do you intend to recapture ALL Delta flying?

Wow. Did you read my post? Where did I say I was fine with giving away flying? Don't bother looking because you won't find it. What I did say, was that us operating every single flight Delta is associated simply isn't feasible. If you can't accept that, you'll never be at peace with this profession. I don't like it, but I accept it. That being said, I will continue going forward with my effort to regain as much flying as possible. I complete my surveys. I write my Reps. I vote on TAs. But it likely will never all come back.

Going back to the new Alaska routes, you have still failed to answer how DALPA is conceding flying.

Both DL and NW codeshared with AS premerger, johnso.

That's correct. Which means NWALPA is just as guilty. I'm not happy with some of the things LM & TO did. But I think Purple is off the mark on his latest gripe.

The entire movie is garbage.

I have heard the exact opposite. There are plenty flying inaccuracies, but the main story is about a man battling substance abuse.
