One of my favorite stories is when the Disciples saw Jesus after he had been raised from the dead. They were pretty excited to say the least! A crowd assembled and came to the conclusion "they must be drunk!" The Apostle Peter comes to their defense saying "they can't be drunk, it is only 9 in the morning."

I think when they made The Life of Brian, that verse would've made no sense to the Monty Python group. They'd probably said, well, that's not a valid reason not to be drunk.
