You would never make a case that they are putting people on short call just because they can. There is a agreement on numbers of short calls and the company has so far shown excellent compliance. The union does look into pilot issues with excessive short calls. 99 percent of the time the pilots have miss understood the short call list and the days and times pilots are on call. If you feel they are abusing your category call ALPA. They will check out the dates you give them. Tomorrow is however the busiest travel day of the entire year.

Tight staffing may have thrown off your averages in years past. Having reserves all assigned trips >12 out means no short calls.

Anyone else paying attention to the massive turd of a TA UAL/CAL pilots received? If it's ratified, it won't help us at all. We will be lucky if it doesn't pull us down!!!

Yep, way to raise the bar UAL.

please call or email alpa scheduling dept. I already complained about my category. they're looking into it supposedly. The more we complain, the more inclined they will be to fix it.

50% DH credit for a reserve, & 0 credit on charter flights?!?

So, you get to sit for FREE for three hours. And, you may miss your DH flight home....or whatever else you had planned to do with your time off.

Line holders have to check if it's OK to deviate? Oh, & you might have to sit ready reserve after finishing your trip??!!

HUGE concession. Do you think that Jeff works into his vacation? Or Pete? Or Fred or anyone else besides the peons?

We are our own worst enemies. Thank goodness DALPA won't even consider letting us fly on our vacation.

There are situations where you have to fly into vacation. If your in Istanbul and the jet breaks your going to work a day into your vacation if you were getting back the day prior to its start. There is simply nothing that can be done to prevent that type of situation. There are however no other situations where the company can fly you into your vacation. If in fact due to a IROPS you fly into your vacation your eligible for financial recovery of any vacation costs you may have lost.

Lane Kiffin sucks.

Sailing,

I understand there are situations beyond the companies control that will cause one to fly into vacation, but we at Delta can't volunteer to do so. I'm thankful for that. UAL however, doesn't want that.

Precisely Johnso. I was hoping UAL would negotiate a better contract. Doesn't look like it.

Sailing, quit jumping to the defense so quickly. You have great input. You lose your credibility when you are so quick to pull the trigger.

I agree with you. If you score 42 or so TDs against SEC teams and beat #1 Bama at Bama, then you deserve the Heisman. To say you don't give freshman the Heisman is just ignorant, he doesn't play in a freshman league does he? kid deserves the Heisman.
