Still, would like DEN. I can't imagine that is junior.

CAL 2008 hires have been awarded 737 slots in DEN. The 2006 CAL hires are not far from captain slots in EWR. It's good right now for them, not sure how good it will be after the SLI. Until the TA they just signed the QOL and pay on the CAL side was less than desirable....they are still not at DAL pay, but not far behind. A 2007 CAL hire will probably come out better in career earnings and progression than a 2007 DAL hire from what it's looking like. The 2000-01 CAL hires will easily be better off than any of the 2000-01 hires at DAL or NWA.

Question; On this one great travel pass award, can you upgrade to economy comfort? Like pay the difference?

I've been toying with travelnet tonight and I was thinking my wife and I should go to CDG sometime. Not soon. But I looked for May and we could go in May on DAL. There were seats still available according to the one great travel function.

But I had to deadhead the other day in the back of the MD90, and I did not fit. My knees were jammed into the seat in front of me. It was painful. Width wise I'm fine but I can't take sitting back there for long.

By the looks of that, they sure aren't feeling the synergies that we are here...

Anyone notice that the AA/US MOU pays the A330 right at 300 an hour at the end of the contract? And the whale well over 300?

FTB;
I haven't used my one great team passes either. My opinion only though; Use an S2 for your international trips and the one great team for something else.

NWA320,

Weren't you formerly a DC-9 A? If I recall correctly, you were posting a year or two ago about bidding to the right seat for a better QOL? (Forgive my confusion if I got the wrong poster.)

Once the 717 arrives, and if you were to bid that aircraft, you'd make more per hour than a United (737-5/737-7/319) Captain, and only $5/hour less than a United (757/737-9/737-8/320) Captain.

GJ

I was MD'ed from the 744 to the MD-88 almost 3 years ago but never trained...... But my statement referenced A positions on the 737 and 320.

Our merger was a disaster at the same point in time. We had huge operational problems and were last in on time performance in 2010. I suspect in 2 more years they will be doing just fine.

I agree. Boots should be unacceptable in new part 121 airliners.

Really? I was going to suggest putting them on the MD88. It will be in "Service Bulletins VOL XIXVIII." In Douglas fashion, we are just going to install them on one horizontal stabililator, activated by a cable operated valve and a hand pump routed to the right side cockpit area.

If anyone remembers Bill Cosby's impression of his wife's breathing exercises during childbirth, that's the idea. Advance to minute 7.

Guess what those black things on the leading edge are.

One great team passes are upgradable to first class. My daughter and I used them to Heathrow last fall. Bought my wife a "fly confirmed for less" ticket; those are NOT upgradable, despite valiant efforts by ticket agents to override (gate agent told the flight attendants and they put her up with us anyway:D both ways!)
There aren't the number of AMEX holders upgrading to first on international flights, so you should be able to find one with empty first class seats - it's worth it even if you have to move your planned travel days a few up or back. Have fun!
