Use caution when going to CDG. Below excerpt is taken from the FAQ's section of TravelNet.

Q7. Can I upgrade to first class when traveling on One Great Team passes? A7. One Great Team passes are valid for confirmed economy-class travel. Effective, December 15, 2011, travelers age 6 and older will be eligible for a space-available (standby) upgrade (excluding flights departing from Amsterdam, Mumbai and Paris).

thanks gj, a6 and scam.

i'll keep that in mind. I'm not sure why I am looking anyways given we don't have an overnight babysitter that would work for a week long trip or kids that are ready for that. But it's fun to look.

We didn't take my son on a trip until he was 3-4 and a good bit of the trip was spent with him eating or taking a nap. We took a stroller then because he was too lazy to hump his own ruck. Fast forward a few years - he's an expert traveller, still would starve to death without McD's, but carries his own stuff. He's way more demanding in Business class than an HV customer - gets sodas, ice cream, and candy brought to him non-stop, snaps his fingers "hey garcon" all while me and momma are sleeping so we can hit the ground running.

Paris is great, but IMO, a better destination for many reasons is Buenos Aires. It looks like Paris, is a bunch cheaper, has a DAL ticket office right downtown to buy zed tickets when you want to get out of the city and go somewhere more exciting. The downside - it can be a challenge to get out of there.

Good grief......

This again?

I find it interesting that if certain other individuals had made this type of comment on this board people would have been all over them.

But that gets a pass?

But I'm sure you are right. There couldn't possibly be any fdal that are "somewhat bitter."

Hey...I got an idea....maybe they can move into the old, abandoned, not sold, former NWA HQ and MSP Training facility. Gotta do something with em! :D

FTB you can go in and out of BRU with no problem. Paris is a short train ride away. The departure taxes are the least in Europe out iof BRU as well.

:D You know I was looking at that. I looked up some train info and when you consider you're flying for free, it's a good deal.

It kind of seems like a good idea to see the country side as well.

APC Lurker,

I'm sorry if you took offense to my post. My intention was not to stir up a "hornet's nest" but rather to point out, and this is just my perception, that at this point our merger has relatively little angst.

I think however that the UAL-CAL will be much worse.

Again, I'm sorry if I offended you (or anyone else)...

Jeff Smisek claimed that integration is harder than it originally appeared. DAL-NWA with all its faults was a benchmark for the industry.

Integration woes help send United Airlines to a loss - USA Today

But he added that the company's "ongoing integration challenges keep us cautious on the shares, despite our positive view on the overall U.S. airline industry."

Also the ER's are all lie flats to BRU as well. Both ATL and JFK. I've done the train ride and it's nice.
